Additional Details

"Seventh edition," so called, but likely the fourth American edition of Taylor's abridgement of the Bible in verse, and thus one of the earliest American miniature books. This edition was published without a date, but the American Antiquarian copy was inscribed in 1769. Most examples of these early editions are lacking leaves, but this one (and the following example) are offered complete. Adomeit A155 (lists 5 copies, 2 of them defective); Bristol B2975; Welch 1293.4.
